Archetype SC’s Paul Cormier and Patrick Nord are heading to Grand Rapids, MI on February 19 for the Construction Technology and Innovation Conference sponsored by Associated Builders and Contractors, Inc. The discussion will help attendees learn processes, techniques, and tips for successful technology change management, avoid pitfalls in the adaption, preparation, and execution of technological changes, and hear information on common myths in the industry.

Nord, Archetype SC’s Director of Data and Analytics, will moderate a session at the conference where presenter Dustin De Van, CEO and Co-Founder of Building Connected, will share “Evaluate Risk versus Cost on a Project-by-Project Basis.” This session will focus on making informed decisions when selecting subcontractors in order to lower costs and better mitigate risk in commercial construction.

In addition to speaking roles, Archetype SC will have a booth set up in the exhibitor display area, where company representatives will be available to discuss how Archetype SC can solve business challenges using technology in the security, digital experience, and data analytics space.

The inaugural Construction Technology and Innovation Conference aims to bring the best of the construction industry’s technology solutions to users on the ground and in the work site, to “find solutions you can use tomorrow.”

Archetype SC's security team was awarded a contract to perform QRoC services for a major insurance company. QRoC, or IBM QRadar on Cloud, is "a network security intelligence and analytics offering that can help you detect cybersecurity attacks and network breaches so that you can take action before any considerable damage is done or begin to immediately respond to any critical data losses."

Security engineers from Archetype SC are part of the QRoC deployment, integration, and management teams for the environment at the insurance company.

Joseph Bonanno, Archetype SC's co-founder and president, will take his place on the Technology Advisory Group for the City of Myrtle Beach, with the organization's first meeting on Oct. 31.

Bonanno will join 11 other locals to make up the group, which will serve in an advisory capacity to City Council, city officials, and the Mayor. Patrick Nord, Archetype SC’s Director of Data Analytics, was named a Top 100 Innovator in Data and Analytics for 2018 by Corinium. The list is dedicated to highlighting those who have “accelerated the proliferation and understanding of data and analytics over the last 12 months,” and is comprised of data professionals from across North America.

Last year, Nord worked to introduce A2 Analytics to the world, a patent-pending combination of software and hardware that provides precision data on where people are, how they move, and how they interact in a given space. The technology has a wide-ranging impact and has been successfully implemented at airports, construction sites, shopping centers, and conferences.

In addition to A2 Analytics, Nord presented on data security and the cloud at the 2018 Techno Security & Digital Forensics Conference in Myrtle Beach, SC in 2018 and has attended and presented at a number of conferences around the Southeast.

The Corinium Top 100 Innovators in Data Analytics 2018 includes representatives from companies like IBM, Disney/ABC, Google, Target, and CBS Corporation. Archetype SC is excited to participate in Allegiant’s 2018 Airport Conference in Savannah, Ga, where it will showcase its A2 Analytics technology. Allegiant, an innovative company dedicated to providing the best travel deals to its customers, operates flights to 117 destinations in the United States, with Orlando, St. Petersburg, Las Vegas, Phoenix, and Myrtle Beach as some of the markets it serves.

The conference, which is by invitation from Allegiant, will feature more than 200 airports from across the country, where Archetype SC will exhibit its groundbreaking A2 Analytics technology. A2 Analytics is a combination of sensor devices, machine learning algorithms, software, and reporting capabilities into one package to deliver deep insights. The technology has been successfully deployed at Myrtle Beach International Airport to monitor TSA wait times, along with shopping centers, construction sites, and conferences. Recently, the technology was a major factor in Archetype SC winning an RFP for the Myrtle Beach International Airport to monitor TSA wait times, baggage claim queues, and parking lot usage.

The Allegiant 2018 Airport Conference will take place October 9-12 at the Savannah Marriott Riverfront in Savannah, Ga.

Archetype SC will host an educational event in conjunction with the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce on October 3.

The event, titled Enterprise Level Security Tips for Your Grand Strand Sized Business, will feature a panel discussion moderated by Patrick Nord with Archetype SC co-founder and president Joseph Bonanno, co-founder and vice president Usman Khan, and security engineer Jesse Funston sharing tips they have learned working with some of the largest companies in the world.

Business leaders on the Grand Strand can expect to learn tips and information on website security, identity and access management, and firewalls, coming from a panel with a combined 60-years of experience working in the IT industry. Joseph Bonanno, Archetype SC co-founder and president, received official notice of his appointment to serve on the newly formed City of Myrtle Beach Technology Advisory Group. The group of 11 members was appointed by Myrtle Beach City Council from a pool of applicants, based on credentials, experience, and a willingness to serve the Myrtle Beach community.

“I’m thrilled to be named to the Technology Advisory Group for the City of Myrtle Beach,” Bonanno said. “Myrtle Beach is my home, it’s where I own and operate my business, and is a community that I hope to see grow in technology. There are so many things that make Myrtle Beach attractive for potential technology companies, and with the guidance of TAG, I think we can turn the Grand Strand into a technology hub in the Southeast.”

Archetype SC was notified Wednesday, Sept. 5, that it was awarded a contract for work at the Myrtle Beach International Airport (MYR) for A2 Analytics, marketing, and advertising work, stemming from a response to a Horry County request for proposal (RFP).

“Working within our local market is a top priority for us each year, and I can think of no better way to make an impact than to work with the gateway to Myrtle Beach,” said Joseph Bonanno, Archetype SC’s co-founder and president. “Our team is excited to get started on helping refresh and recreate the brand that is Myrtle Beach International Airport, with a new website, marketing strategy, and other creative design work. Additionally, the expansion of A2 Analytics services at the airport represents a commitment by the Horry County Department of Airports toward the customer experience and making the area’s airports the most attentive and best for passengers. Using our technology, we will be able to show how, where, and why people move around on the grounds of the airports.”

Partner companies The Quotient Group and SmartRevenue will support Archetype SC in delivering services on the project, with The Quotient Group lending its expertise in airport marketing and SmartRevenue assisting in marketing insights, strategies, and solutions.

The contract represents a continuation of the relationship between Archetype SC and the Myrtle Beach International Airport, which has utilized the company’s A2 Analytics technology for multiple projects, including to track wait times at TSA, movement within the airport terminal, and dwell times for at baggage claim. Additional services in this contract include monitoring parking lot occupancy levels and arrival/departure information.

A2 Analytics is a patent-pending technology developed by Archetype SC that blends hardware and software to provide precision data on where people are, how they moved, and how they interact in and with a space.

In performing marketing and advertising work, Archetype SC will aid in the creation of a new website,www.flymyrtlebeach.com, that represents the new focus of the Horry County Department of Airports and the updated brand of Myrtle Beach International Airport. Working with other partners, Archetype SC will develop and implement a robust marketing and advertising strategy to help increase awareness and passenger-counts at the airport.

Three Archetype SC security engineers will take in CyberArk Impact 2018 at the Seaport Boston Hotel & World Trade Center in Boston.

The three-day conference allows Archetype SC's team to gain valuable training from key players in the security space, along with networking, labs, and educational seminars. Speakers at CyberArk Impact 2018 include CyberArk Founder, Chairman, and CEO Udi Mokady, Head of CyberArk Red-Team services Shay Nahari, and CyberArk EVP of Global Business Development Adam Bosnian.

Topics at the12th Annual Americas CyberArk Impact conference include "Defense Strategy: When Less is More," "Leading Security into the Future," and "Security is a Team Game." There are three event types at CyberArk Impact: attack methodology, defense strategy, and product/technology, to offer a wide look at the security space. Additionally, there will be panels with security partners like SailPoint, ForeScout, and OKTA to bring additional perspectives to the conference.
