While attending the IBM Cloud & Cognitive Summit in Dallas on Nov. 13 and 14, Archetype SC managing partner Usman Khan was blown away by the event, from the quality of presentations to the varied list of companies in attendance.
“This was a really well run event, it was very much worth attending,” Khan said. “I met a lot of IBM experts and developed relationships with quite a few other attendees that may lead to work in the future. That’s a huge bonus at a conference where the knowledge you gain is so valuable.”
In particular, Khan enjoyed the keynote to begin the summit, where he heard from innovators of IBM Hybrid Cloud, IBM Private Cloud, and IBM Cognitive Systems, among others.
“The keynote really hit on the points that IBM has a vision for cognitive development and how the Cloud is continuing to change the world,” Khan said. “It was incredible to see some of IBM’s offerings in action and to see that they are on the cutting edge of what’s going on in cloud and cognitive development.”
Another highlight was the closing address from Guy Kawasaki, a legendary former Apple employee who spoke about the art of disruption to the Cloud & Cognitive Summit crowd.
