OUR APPROACH

Managing Network Vulnerability

Vulnerability management is about much more than just reacting to threats when they happen — and they WILL happen.

At Archetype SC, our approach to vulnerability management is about being proactive and working to uncover issues, mitigate risk, and prevent cyber attacks against a network by finding and eliminating vulnerabilities.

It starts with a Security Risk and Vulnerability Assessment (SRVA) from our team of expert security engineers. By performing this evaluation, we can then create a plan for mitigation and remediation and work with your organization to get in front of any potential cyber risks.

THE PROCESS

How a SRVA assessment works

A Security Risk and Vulnerability Assessment from Archetype SC combines on-site observation, industry-leading scanning technology, and off-site analysis from our expert security engineers to create a roadmap for securing your network and implementing future security policies.

1. Pre-Scan Analysis
We begin our SRVA with an assessment of your current security practices. A quick and easy questionnaire guided by industry best practices lets us know where we need to begin.
2. On-Site Scan
Our security consultants will visit your facilities to perform a network scan using the same industry-leading technology employed by Fortune 500 companies such as Amazon, Twitter, Starbucks, and PayPal.
3. Staff Interviews
We get to know your business by speaking with employees at many levels to get a more holistic view of your organization’s security practices and gather details a scanner won’t find.
4. Security Walkthrough
This guided tour of your facility focuses on security-related behaviors as well as potential vulnerabilities in your physical security and network infrastructure.
5. Network Investigation
Our engineers evaluate your device and network configurations the way an intruder would to reveal what hackers might be able to find on your network.
6. Analysis & Reporting
Our off-site team analyzes the scan data to provide an easy-to-read summary of our findings along with recommendations about how to begin remediation of your vulnerabilities. The SRVA concludes with a review session to answer any questions you may have.
