Archetype SC Welcomes A New Cybersecurity Problem-Solver

For Marlon Evans, solving problems is second nature, especially when it means preventing them before they start. As our new Junior Cybersecurity/Network Technician, he takes a strategic, forward-thinking approach to keeping systems secure and running smoothly. He works to keep networks secure, efficient, and one step ahead of potential threats.

He’s driven by the challenge of investigating security issues, uncovering vulnerabilities, and breaking down complex problems to find lasting solutions. Marlon’s path into cybersecurity isn’t your typical one—he served in both the Marine Corps and the Active Army, gaining real-world experience in security and defense before he shifted his focus to digital protection.

A personal experience with identity theft set him on a new path, leading him to explore data protection and online safety. That curiosity led to hands-on learning as he built computers, researched cybersecurity, and earned degrees in information science and technology. And he’s still at it, now pursuing a degree in cybersecurity and information assurance. Away from work, he’s a sci-fi and fantasy fan, a dedicated gamer (Final Fantasy 7 is a favorite), and putting together detailed Lego builds.
