Archetype SC Welcomes a Detail-Driven Technician in Patrick McBee

Originally from a small lake town near Indianapolis, Patrick recently relocated to Myrtle Beach after his fiancée completed her medical residency. Drawn to the coast and closer to family, he was also looking for the right opportunity to grow in a hands-on, team-oriented environment. That search led him to Archetype SC.
Now serving as a Junior Cybersecurity/Network Technician, Patrick brings a thoughtful, detail-driven mindset to detection and incident response efforts. He’s especially energized by problem-solving, be it navigating technical puzzles or improving workflow efficiency, he’s always looking for the smartest way through.
Patrick’s background includes a computer science degree from Ivy Tech and Indiana University (IU), and he’s currently adding web development to his toolkit with continued online coursework at IU. At Archetype SC, he’s immersing himself in cybersecurity operations and exploring ways to strengthen response strategies and team collaboration.
Off the clock, you’ll likely find him outside, hiking with his dog, tracking down new trails with AllTrails, or planning his next big adventure (next up: New River Gorge).
